The Interposer blends video and touch probe technologies to measure challenging part features. Its slender shaft with a probe ball of known size is at the center of the optical field of view. When the probe tip contacts a feature of interest, video measurement determines the exact position of the probe ball.
The Interposer mounts to the fixed touch probe mounting shaft and can be stored in a probe change rack. The sizes of Interposer components are customized for your specific application. The minimum diameter of the probe ball is 80 µm. The Interposer requires MeasureMind® 3D MultiSensor metrology software.
This unique technology is perfect for measuring tiny internal features, or for grooved recesses in bores.
