MicroTheta™ Rotary (MTR)

The MicroTheta™ Rotary indexer brings true fourth axis measuring to any OGP® video system equipped with MeasureMind® 3D MultiSensor metrology software.

With MTR, parts can be automatically rotated within a measurement routine to present a different view to the system, without the need to re-measure datum features after rotation. MeasureMind 3D MultiSensor metrology software includes comprehensive rotary axis calibration routines, which correlate all feature measurements to the rotary axis and the XYZ axes of the measurement system. Relational measurements between features measured at different rotary positions are easily determined by simply selecting features from the software’s interactive model.

MeasureMind 3D MultiSensor metrology software fully supports compound rotary motion, translating the part coordinate system with the part as it is rotated.

Combine an MSR with an MTR for Multiple Axis Rotation

Combine MSR and MTR rotaries to provide rotary motions in two perpendicular axes. There are a variety of combinations available, depending on the application and the available measurement envelope of the machine.
