Demonstration of SmartProfile 3D GD&T fitting software (2:46)

SmartProfile is an innovative three-dimensional GD&T fitting software application that:

• Provides fast, accurate analysis of dimensional measurement data for conformance to 3D shape, form, and dimensions of rigid parts.
• Accepts measurement data from OGP and other industry-standard measurement systems.
• Creates 3D models from most common CAD file formats.
• Supports GD&T tolerances for form, profile, orientation, and location
• Uses ANSI/ISO-approved fitting methods.

SmartProfile performs:

• Dimensional definition of form and/or pattern features.
• Assignment of datums.
• Assignment of GD&T tolerances to features and the relationship between features and datums.

How SmartProfile works:

• Measured data in the form of a point cloud is imported and overlaid on the model.
• Point cloud is aligned with the model, either manually or automatically.
• SmartProfile compares the measured data with the nominal model and determines whether the measured part is within tolerance.
• Status and magnitude of tolerance deviations are shown in a color-coded chart.
